Welcome
We are the Friends of Longley Woods. We are a group of local people who share a passion for our local woodland. We are so lucky to live amongst beautiful woodland just South of Huddersfield Town Centre. Our woodlands surround Longley Park Golf Club and are bounded by Wood Lane and Dog Kennel Bank, and include Longley Wood Nature Reserve, Oakenbank, Ashenhurst, Martin Bank Woods, New Laith Scrog and Penny Spring Woods. These areas need care and support from the community to keep them attractive and accessible for all.
Notice of Annual General Meeting 2026
The Annual General Meeting of members will be held in Coffeeboy on Thursday 12th March at 1:30pm, for the purposes of receiving the Chair’s Report, Financial Report, electing the Management Committee and transacting any other business.
All members are welcome to attend and have one vote.
